Established by Peter and Barbara Volas in 1986 as a wholesale business, Eden Hill Greenhouse now sells retail directly to the public, offering professionally grown, high quality plants at prices that are competitive with the big box stores. Everything at Eden Hill Greenhouses is produced on site, overseen by expert grower Peter Volas. Pete began working with plants along side of his family in the mid-1950's in St. Louis, MO., growing giant chrysanthemums for cut flowers. Pete earned a B.S. in Floriculture (growing flowering plants on a mass scale) from the University of Missouri in Columbia, in 1966. Pete has been working in large scale production greenhouses ever since. In 1999, Pete's oldest son Tim moved to Benzie to work at the greenhouses after living on both the west and east coats, working for other greenhouses. Pete and Tim are always willing to offer help and advise for all of your plant and garden needs.
